Just read Junichiro Tanizaki, In praise of shadows. A book written in mid 20th century about a problem so much more obvious today yet not treated with much care. Light pollution. He made some thoughtful comments and is a book I recommend reading to create some distance to what you doing. It is not always  the light itself that is the important thing but the thing it is not showing. What would light be without shadows?
